A great start to 2016 with another competition win for Flying Suitcase Wines! The winner this time was our 2013 Syrah from Amador County, which was awarded a silver medal at The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
This prestigious event is the largest and most publicized competition of American wines in the world and this year broke all former records with over 7100 entries from all over the United States. Over the past sixteen years, the competition has become a barometer that consumers can use to educate themselves and measure premium wines. A Public Tasting and Food Pairing will be held at Fort Mason Center, San Francisco on Sunday February 13th, where attendees can sample some of the delicious, winning wines.
The winners will be listed in the SFCWC Wine Awards Special Section in The San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday February 7th, 2016, reaching over one million people in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, the richest wine demographic in the world. Cheers to that!!
