We recently added to our collection of Italian varietals with a delicious 2015 Barbera from Amador County. A light to medium-bodied varietal, Barbera has good acidity with low tannins and is best enjoyed young. Although popular in Italy, yields of Barbera have declined in California in the last ten years. This wine pairs really well with everyday Italian cuisine and we are very proud of our first attempt at this varietal!
To have just released our first Cabernet Sauvignon (2014) is exciting, but the fact that it hails from organically certified vineyards in Rutherford, at the heart of the Napa Valley is a dream come true for our winemaker Anders! This wine is elegant and full-bodied, aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak with aromas of cocoa, black cherry and flavors of dark chocolate, tobacco and leather. Our proudest moment to date!
Two great new wines just in time for the holidays.
